Sensory Play in Garden Room

This week the children had the opportunity to explore a new texture… jelly!

The children were very engaged in this activity and used their imagination and fantastic descriptive language. “Jellyfied”, “wibbly”, “sticky” and “smells like strawberries” were some of the words used to describe the jelly. It was a great sensory activity where the children had the opportunity to experience different textures, smell and colours. It also encouraged the children to manipulate and mold materials, building up their fine motor skills and coordination.
