On Thursday 5 July the Art Club held a special day with local artist Nicola Burrell. You may have seen Nicola’s work on South Woodford High Street as she made the flowers that run up the centre. Using the medium of cardboard the children made 3D sculptures. They learnt lots of different techniques on how to shape the cardboard using only scissors.
The children made a huge variety of different things including animals, mini beasts, suitcases and some children started bigger projects to take home including the New York skyline. The workshop was a wonderful opportunity for independent learning and it was amazing to see how many completely different sculptures the children made using the same techniques. Well done to all the children for all their hard work.
