Music & Drama

The School has a strong musical tradition. The Early Years children have singing, music and movement and percussion lessons and love to be involved with a band. The older children continue with singing, recorder and percussion and more formal music lessons are introduced. There is also the opportunity to learn various wind instruments, the violin and piano. We have a School Choir which practises once a week and takes part in events such as the Malcolm Sargent Children's Massed Choir Concert at the O2 and the Chigwell Rotary Concert.

As well as joining in class assemblies, all children are involved with at least one production every year to which parents are invited. These range from the Christmas Nativity plays to Key Stage 2 Musicals and are enjoyed by all. Past performances have included Bugsy Malone, Annie and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe .
