We are thrilled to share the highlights of our recent Year 4 trip to the iconic Globe Theatre! The children had a fantastic time immersing themselves in the world of William Shakespeare, gaining a unique insight into Elizabethan theatre and the magic of live performance.
The visit began with a guided tour of the theatre, where the children were amazed by the stunning architecture and the rich history behind this historic landmark. They learned about Shakespeare’s plays, the lives of actors in the 16th century, and how performances were brought to life on the open-air stage.
The highlight of the day was an engaging workshop where the children explored scenes from Romeo and Juliet. Through drama games and role play, they experienced the joy of Shakespeare’s language and storytelling, building their confidence and creativity along the way.
It was a wonderful opportunity to bring history and literature to life and the children left inspired and eager to learn more.
