World Book Day

Oaklands had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day, with pupils and teachers dressing up as their favorite book characters.

Our pupils looked amazing in their creative outfits, and it was wonderful to see the fantastic choices they made.

The whole school assembly was a lively occasion as the children enthusiastically sung a World Book Day song picked by Mrs. Rathbone.

Pupils from each year group were selected to stand, whilst everyone else had to try and guess the character they were dressed as. We had Harry Potter, Willy Wonka, Elphaba and others from the world of Oz, a group of Year 6 pupils also dressed up as Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Well done to all of our staff and pupils for the wonderful effort you have put into your outfits!

Upper Kindergarten celebrated World Book Day on Wednesday this week as they’re busy on an exciting trip when the rest of the school are taking part. They have enjoyed playing outside in the sun this week.
