March in STEM Club
In STEM Club, the children became young scientists as they explored the fascinating world of chromatography. They learned how different colours are made up of a range of pigments and discovered how these can be separated using simple scientific techniques.
Through hands-on experiments, the children used chromatography to observe how colours split and spread, revealing the hidden pigments within. They were excited to see how something as simple as a felt-tip pen could contain so many different colours!
To bring their learning together, the children then created their own beautiful “bleeding rainbow” artwork, applying their understanding of colour mixing and absorption. It was wonderful to see both their scientific curiosity and creativity in action.
