Nature Club

In Nature Club this term we have learnt about trees, making bark rubbings to look at the different patterns on their trunks. We found out how amazing spiders are and ‘scratched’ our own colourful webs using special paper. We also learnt about how birds make their nests and the club built their own nests on the school field using twigs, leaves, grass and feathers. As part of this topic we also watched as a family of blue tits built their nest in a bird box. They went on to lay 8 eggs and we are currently enjoying seeing the chaos in the nest now that the chicks have hatched.
