Owls visit Abbey Produce

Owls had an amazing morning visiting Sofia’s daddy at his work. He took us into the Glasshouse to see all the peppers growing before allowing everyone to pinch their own. We even planted 2 of our class bean plants in the Glass house ready for Robins and Woodpeckers to see how tall they have grown by the time it’s their turn to visit. Next we had to put on hairnets before entering the Packhouse where we saw cucumbers being shrink-wrapped and different types of peppers being weighed as well as checked for damage before being bagged ready to be taken to the supermarkets.

It was a really interesting visit which ended with everyone being gifted stickers and peppers in their own little box.

A huge thank you to Sofia’s daddy for hosting us. Robins and Woodpeckers are looking forward to visiting later in the month.
