Year 4 British Museum Trip
Year 4 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the British Museum in recent days to celebrate the end of their Ancient Greece topic.
In a special workshop, the children explored how Greek myths were told through pottery, studying images of heroes, gods and legendary creatures. The children had the opportunity to explore stories such as:
- Heracles (Hercules) and his incredible strength
- Theseus and the Minotaur
- Tales involving powerful gods like Zeus and Athena
By studying the images on the pots, the children pieced together the stories, just like historians do!
The pupils showed great enthusiasm, asked thoughtful questions, and represented the school beautifully throughout the visit.
