1C learn about artist Emma Burleigh

1C have been learning about the artist Emma Burleigh who uses watercolour to create abstract landscapes. They spent the week learning techniques and then created a final piece inspired by their recent trip to Southend. The children added real sand and salt to create texture in their work and used pen and pencil to add figures, boats, birds, and a pier.
