Year 2 visit St Paul's Cathedral

The two Year 2 classes each enjoyed a visit to St Paul's Cathedral on separate days, as part of their learning about the Great Fire of London and the rebuilding of St Paul's.

During an engaging workshop, the children learnt about what life was like in London at the time of the Great Fire, how the city was affected and how people worked together to help put out the flames. They also discovered how St Paul's was rebuilt following the fire.

The visits also gave the children the chance to appreciate the beauty and grandeur of the cathedral. They climbed the steps to the Whispering Gallery and visited the Stone Gallery, where they enjoyed breathtaking views across London.

Well done to both Year 2 classes for their impeccable behaviour and enthusiasm throughout their visits!
