5Z learn about values and democracy

This term, the children in 5Z have been exploring our school values and thinking about how these values influence the choices we make every day. As part of their PSHE learning, they have been developing their understanding of individual freedom, personal responsibility and the importance of making positive and respectful choices.

The children have also been learning about democracy through our School and Eco Council elections. They explored the election process and became familiar with important features such as voting cards, ballot boxes and casting their votes independently.

It has been wonderful to see the children take part so enthusiastically and understand that everyone has a voice and a role to play in our school community. These experiences help them develop confidence, respect for others and an understanding of how their choices can make a difference.
