Upper Kindergarten Police Visit

Upper Kindergarten had an exciting visit from Sergeant Smedley today!

He talked to the children all about the important job the police do, how they help keep us safe, and showed them the special kit officers carry. The children loved trying on police hats, testing out handcuffs and even holding a shield!

They proudly told Sergeant Smedley all about “Stop, Look, and Listen” too, showing off what they had learned the week before when learning the Highway Code.

Despite the rainy weather, our ‘mini police’ popped on their hi-vis vests and headed outside to explore the police car, sitting inside, turning on the lights and feeling like real officers for the morning! What a fantastic hands-on experience.
