Year 1W Maths

Year 1W had a super busy maths adventure as they explored multiples of 10 all the way to 50! Using Base Ten blocks, the classroom buzzed with excitement as children built towers of tens and counted shiny little ones. They became number detectives, asking, “Is this a group of ten? How do you know?” and discovering clever ways to make numbers like 30. Some stacked three long tens, while others counted thirty tiny ones, proudly realising that 30 is made of 3 tens or 30 ones. With teamwork, laughter and lots of hands-on building, Year 1W showed that learning about tens can be fun, creative and full of brilliant mathematical thinking.
