World Book Day 2026

Our school was filled with excitement and imagination as pupils celebrated World Book Day, arriving dressed as a wonderful variety of their favourite book characters. From magical Harry Potter witches and wizards to colourful Dr Seuss creations and even the iconic Willy Wonka.

It was fantastic to see the effort pupils put into their costumes, with so many imaginative and inspired outfits bringing beloved stories to life. The celebrations began with an assembly where pupils proudly shared their characters with one another, creating a joyful atmosphere across the school. The children also enjoyed seeing what characters their teachers had chosen to dress up as!

World Book Day is always a special opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading and the power of storytelling. The day encouraged pupils to talk about their favourite books, discover new stories and share their love of literature with friends and teachers.
