1C explore spirals in Art

1C had a lovely Art afternoon on Tuesday where we explored spirals using pencils, pastels and charcoal on large paper. The children spread out on the floor, got comfy with our shoes off and some calming music playing.

The class talked about the different sizes of the spirals and which parts of our bodies to used to create them. The children experimented with linking their spirals together, or spacing them out and decorating the space in between. The children said they reminded them of snails, shells and lollipops.

The highlight of Mrs Christofi’s afternoon was when Hudson said to his friend Aarian: “I love your drawing, it’s beautiful. It should be in a gallery”. What a lovely positive comment to say!
