Lower Kindergarten Autumn Term News

To start off this term we have learnt all about the different Autumn celebrations and festivals. The children made a beautiful poppy wreath, iced a poppy biscuit and enjoyed the sensory play of black beans, rosemary and red cupcake cases to make their own poppy. We learnt about Diwali, and created a beautiful Rangoli rice pattern using coloured rice. Firework day the children painted firework pictures using different types of sponges.

Kindergarten have learnt all about nursery rhymes with counting and made masks of our favourite animal from the rhyme. The children enjoyed all the Pudsey activities on ‘Children in need day’ after finding out the spots on Pudsey’s bandana are for the amount of children he has helped, they used their fingers to pop spots onto their own Pudsey pictures.

Most recently they have emerced ourselves in colour, painting rainbows as well all learning the song. The children experimented colour mixing with primary colours guessing what colour they would make!
