U9 Boys Football vs Howe Green House

Oaklands took 2 teams along to a football fixture against Howe Green House School in Bishops Stortford on Monday 17 November.

We always have very good matches with these opponents, and again, it proved the case.

Our A team managed to win 4-2 with some very good contests all over the pitch, ensuring they were challenged all the way through. Excellent defending and superb finishes from Raeham, Denim and James earnt Oaklands the W!

Our B team had some very good moments in their match against some talented individuals from HGHS. We had quite a few new boys earning their sports colours, and considering first time playing, and putting into practice skills learnt from club, they can come away proud of the football they played, even after a defeat. With more fixtures and football practice sessions on the horizon, the boys will get better and better!
