Upper Kindergarten learn about Germs

Upper Kindergarten participated in an activity learning about germs and how they can spread. They learnt that we get germs on our hands when going to the toilet and playing with our friends. The children also learnt that germs are invisible! To make it visual we used glitter to represent the 'germs'. The children then rubbed their hands in the bowl of water and was surprised to see they still had 'germs'.

The teachers then asked the class, what else do we need to wash away the germs? Most of the children were able to say they needed soap to wash the germs away. The children then washed their hands at the sink with soap and water.
