1C read Sam's Sandwich

1C have enjoyed reading the story of Sam’s Sandwich by David Pelham. The children loved hearing about the disgusting, nasty surprises Sam put in his sister’s sandwich and were able to sequence the story.

They wrote instructions for how to make a sandwich and thought about how Sam could make his sister a healthier sandwich next time. Then re-wrote the story with their own characters and ideas for a much tastier sandwich. Finally, they got to make their own sandwiches! The children had to be very careful when they spread the butter with a knife and had to choose healthy ingredients.  

Everyone thought their sandwiches were delicious!
