Oaklands House Elections

It was a very exciting morning in the school today, as Oaklands held a House Election, from Transition all the way up to Year 6. The House Captains and Vice Captains had to present one of their policies from their manifesto in this mornings election assembly. The children spoke very well and were confident in putting their point across.

After the assembly, all children then had the opportunity to vote for the house that they thought was best by using a secret ballot, complete with partitioning walls, that was set up in once of the classrooms. The Year 6 children were very helpful during this process, encouraging and supporting the younger pupils throughout.
