A huge crowd of family and friends gathered at Lopping Hall last night for the Oaklands summer production of ‘Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits’. Year 5 and 6 pupils had been working extremely hard, learning a huge amount of lines to perform a spectacular show.
Pupils had the audience in hysterics with this side-splitting musical comedy that told the story of Mustapha Widdle and Balthazar Bongo and his Bumbling Bandits stealing not only the Royal Ruby, but also the Princess Satsuma! So when Ali Baba discovers the hidden Cave of Wonders filled with Sultan Pepper’s treasures, it was down to him and Humphrey the Camel to save the day! Filled with a cast of fun characters, the audience were blown away by the children’s true professionalism and ability to deliver such well-timed and brilliant comedy! Well done everyone!
