Reception Woodpeckers have been busy measuring classroom objects using cubes, they recorded the length or height of the objects by counting the amount of cubes used. The children were using language such as taller, longer and shorter throughout to compare the lengths and heights of the different objects. Some children were beginning to estimate by using their recordings and understanding of the concept.
