On Tuesday 11 February Year 5 walked up Loughton High Street to visit Pizza Express. The children took a tour of the kitchen and listened carefully to all the important food safety information, and found out lots about how to ensure a commercial kitchen is clean and safe. Everyone enjoyed looking in the walk-in freezer!
The children were very excited to learn the exact way the pizzas are made and everyone had lots of questions about the different ingredients. There was great excitement when the head chef used his enormous paddle to take the pizzas out of the oven. Everyone enjoyed eating their pizza and agreed they were delicious!
