At the beginning of January 2020, we supported a new charity called London Children’s Book Project, who help redistribute thousands of new and used books to children and their families, with our pupils donating over 1,000 books.
We were recently notified that the charity has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This award recognises work in the local community and excellence in voluntary activities, and is the equivalent of an MBE for voluntary groups.
The charity considers that every one of the schools that conducted a Book Collection on their behalf should regard this award as one to share within their community.
We would like to thank you all of our parents and children again for your generous book donations that have helped children who do not have access to reading books.
We will certainly be organising another book collection next year!
