Lower Kindergarten Learning

The children in Lower kindergarten have been very busy participating in a variety of activities. The science activity at the water tray was a huge success! Using a plastic cup, the children were introduced to the concept of capacity. They looked at empty, full and half full. They were then asked to see if they could put the same amount of water in both of their cups.

The children have also been learning about sea creatures, including a blue whale, a dolphin and a jellyfish. They were invited to take part in our ‘Who Am I’ quiz. The children had to listen to three clues and try to guess the sea creature. Everyone did extremely well!

Finally, the children were asked to set the table for some important guests. They had to place the plate, cutlery and cups on the table and then pour some water from the jug. This was a great life skill for the children to learn!
