To celebrate Chinese New Year, Lower Kindergarten created a Chinese restaurant. Pupils explored role play with noodles, rice and vegetables and created a huge ‘stir fry’ sensory tray, where they named the different vegetables, such as pak choi and sugar snap peas. Lower Kindergarten then explored the vegetables themselves, being encouraged to talk about the different smells and textures and use their chop sticks! Pupils also really enjoyed pretending to be a Chinese dragon. Great work LK!
