As part of Black History Month, we looked at the role of Muhammad Ali in our assemblies. After an introduction to the greatest boxer of all time, Ethan and Joah helped Mr Paine demonstrate some boxing skills. We learnt about Ali’s role as a civil rights activist and how he showed courage with a moral dilemma about his personal beliefs and boxing future. We enjoyed exploring the strands of SMSC within class as well as in assembly.
