There didn’t seem to be a dry eye in the room yesterday morning when our Year 6 pupils led an emotional leavers assembly to their parents and teachers. Every pupil got up on stage and spoke about their favourite memories from their time at Oaklands. The morning was filled with songs, thanks and some very funny baby photos!
After the assembly, Year 6 and their families enjoyed tea in the grounds. Year 6 were presented with special leavers hoodies and threw their ‘graduation’ cap into the air. It was a lovely way to see off our Year 6 pupils in style.
It was clear to see what close friendships had formed in our Year 6 class, and we are very proud of them all. From all the staff at Oaklands, we wish you the best in your bright futures.
