Year One had an exciting trip to Mountfitchet Castle to support their learning of the topic; Castles. The children could see the excellent example of a Motte and Bailey structure and got a taste of how life would have been like living inside the castle walls. We tried on some iron helmets, chain mail and practiced our aim with the catapult and archery targets. All the staff were impressed and proud of the children’s behaviour during the trip.
