On Friday, Year 3 wowed the crowd with their fun, colourful and informative assembly all about the rainforest. They told the story of a businessman who paid lumberjacks to cut down sections of the forest for him. The animals of the rainforest fought back to protect their home, and showed the humans that the forest itself is full of precious jewels and it is worth a lot more than gold.
This powerful assembly helped everyone to consider the damaging effects of deforestation on our planet, and encouraged the children and audience alike to consider where products have come from and how to be more sustainable.
The songs were catchy, the costumes were fabulous and our pupils were wonderful, learning many lines and performing with confidence. Well done!
