On Thursday 29 February, Oaklands took 2 teams along to the ISA London North Tag-Rugby Championships at Woodford Wells Sports Club.
Accompanied by very cold, wet weather, this didn’t dampen our amazing pupils’ efforts on the day.
The A team managed to finish 2nd in their group, winning 2 and drawing their other group match. The B team won 1 match and drew 2 so they also qualified 2nd in their group, resulting in both our teams progressing to the Quarter Finals.
In the QF’s, both teams played outstanding tag-rugby, but were very unlucky to lose 9-7, and 3-2 in very close contests! Lots of highlights on show, with terrific tries, tremendous tackling and superb sportsmanship throughout.
Very well done to all our amazing pupils who can be proud of their efforts!
