1C Animal Antics Science Topic

1C have had a lovely week observing animals in our environment as part of their Animal Antics Science topic.

They went onto the field and into the Wild Woods to see what mini-beasts and animals they could find. The class found lots of woodlice, worms, and even some beetles and butterflies but could not find any mice, no matter how quiet they tried to be!

The children were very respectful of the creatures they found and replaced all their habitats carefully.

1C also went birdwatching and kept a tally of the birds they saw such as crows, woodpigeons, blackbirds, robins and magpies. The class could hear some parakeets too, up in the treetops but their camouflage is so good they just could not spot one.
