Transition’s Trip to St Albans Cathedral

This term Transition spent the day at St Albans Cathedral. The morning was spent exploring the materials and their properties used to build the Abbey. The strongest material found was horse hair mixed with plaster to help it stick to the brick columns.

The afternoon enabled the children’s creative talents to come alive.  Having looked at the beautiful ‘Rose’ stained glass window the children all created their own using coloured acetates.

A big thank you to our three parent helpers for helping make the day such a success.
