The Year 6 children were invited to St Edmund’s College for a taster day on Tuesday 17 October. They had a wonderful day filled with different activities. After a tour of the school’s chapel and a brief lesson linked to the school’s history, the children took part in a games lesson where they participated in different ball games.
Following a short refreshment break, they were sent off to Science. In this lesson the children were given the chance to take part in various chemical reaction experiments and recorded their observations. In their Maths lesson, all the children had to decipher various codes and were tested on their multiplication skills. After a tasty lunch they were invited to a question and answer session run by the Head of Year 7. It was a very enjoyable and informative day, which hopefully gave them a little insight into life as a secondary school pupil.
