The topic this half term in the Garden Room is ‘Caring for others’. This topic presents the opportunity for the children to learn lots of different skills for life both in and outside the classroom.
During the first week of the term, Mrs Defoe paid a visit to the class to tell the children all about the skills and time required to care for their pets.
Garden Room also enjoyed a visit from the school dog, Dexter, who had a great time showing everyone his tricks and getting a special toy from Mrs Defoe. The children now understand that ‘caring for others’ doesn’t have to mean just other people, looking after animals is also very important.
