A Very Victorian Experience for Year 5

Year 5 have had a fantastic day at the Ragged School Museum. First, Colin showed the pupils around his Victorian kitchen where they explored the Victorian home and family through object handling, role play and storytelling.

Miss Perkins then taught everyone their morning lesson. She was terrifying! The lesson was taught in a classroom restored as it was in the 1870s and was equipped with authentic school desks, slate writing boards and even dunce hats!

Year 5 finished their day on the canal banks thinking about the horses that would have pulled the barges in Victorian times.
