1C have been celebrating the Lunar New Year this week by trying out various challenges in the mornings. On Tuesday they had a go at filling bowls with red rice using chop sticks.
“You have to use them like scissors”, said Eashar.
Then on Wednesday, pupils used the red rice and chop sticks to write ‘Happy New Year’ in Cantonese and Mandarin.
As it is the Year of the tiger, 1C drew pictures of the beautiful creatures and shared stories about tigers in the afternoons. They even learnt the Chinese character for ‘Tiger’.
