Roman Designs

Year 3 did an outstanding job with their recent Topic homework. Some children produced wonderfully commanding villas reminiscent of those that would have stood in Ancient Rome, while others explored  mosaics, interpreting authentic designs with their own choice of tesserae. More bloodthirsty entries included swords, shields and ceremonial daggers, which were worthy of any legion.

Of course the Romans loved luxury and used honey in lots of their recipes to sweeten them, so it is no wonder that some of the children – in true Bake Off style – tried their hand at recreating honey biscuits, which were much loved by the people of Ancient Rome.

All of the pupils put so much effort into their projects and the finished outcomes look amazing!
