A Visit from Sergeant Smedley

The children in Upper Kindergarten had a very special visitor this morning. Sergeant Smedley came into the school to talk to our Upper Kindergarten children about staying safe. He told them about the important work he does with his team, the different types of equipment police officers use and their modes of transport, and he even told them a police secret. If a child ever waves at a police officer, they have to wave back!

At the end of the session, all of the children were given the chance to try on some uniform and try out the police handcuffs and torches. As a parting gift he gave them all an activity book and other goodies. A huge thank you to Sergeant Smedley for taking the time to come in, the children had a great time and learnt a lot!
