Oaklands show their tennis skills!

Pupils from Years 3-6 took part in the West Essex School Sports Partnership Mini-Tennis Tournament at Theydon Bois Tennis Club recently. Some of the children had never even played tennis before and the progress they made from start to finish was incredible, witnessing some of the play on show!

It was a great event with the boys and girls able to play plenty of singles matches against lots of schools in attendance.

Final results were;

Year 3&4 Competition

1^st – Theydon Bois – 20 points

2^nd – Buckhurst Hill – 15 points

3^rd – St John’s COFE – 14 points

4^th – Oaklands & Epping Primary – 13 points

5^th – Alderton Juniors – 0 points

Year 5&6 Competition

1^st – Theydon Bois – 16 points

2^nd – Oaklands – 12 points

3^rd – St John’s COFE – 8 points

4^th – White bridge – 4 points

5^th – Alderton Juniors – 0 points

Well done to Arjun, George, Ana, Chanel, Sammy, Max, Alice and Lucy for bringing home the silver medals and a great effort to just miss out on the bronze by a point by Alex, Ni’al, Annabelle, Margot, Thiaan, Jimmy, Evie and Jemima!
