Speech Day and Prize Giving 2023

We had an exciting afternoon this week, celebrating the year with our annual Speech Day and Prize Giving. It took place in a marquee on the field which was full to the brim with pupils, staff, family, and friends.

The guest speaker this year was Cllr Mick Stubbings, who was recently elected as the Loughton Town Mayor for 2023/24. He gave a very interesting speech and was happy to present the awards to our pupils for their achievements throughout the year.

Children from Years 1-6 performed an array of songs including ‘Space, It’s a Place’ and ‘Ai Caramba’ from our Key Stage 1 pupils. Year 3 and 4 impressed the audience with a French Rap, and Year 5 and 6 enjoyed singing ‘Pot of Gold’.

We were very proud of the pupils who were elected to give reports of their year, which included class highlights and charity reports.

In addition to the awards, Mrs Copeman also announced the Year 6 Roles of Responsibility for the next school year.

Well done to everyone who won a prize, but all of our children should be very proud of their progress this year.
